Hello all, I am now 19 weeks old. I weigh about 8 1/2 ounces, and am 6 inches, head to bottom — about the size of a large heirloom tomato. My hair on my head is sprouting. This is a crucial time for sensory development: my brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. I can even hear Mommy and Daddy talk. I get to listen in when Daddy reads books to my sister every night and when Mommy sings.Next week, I am getting a sonogram. This is the time when parents can find out if they are going to have a boy or girl baby. Mommy and Daddy have decided not to find out unless they accidently see something (which is unlikely since they aren't professional sonogram readers). Check back next weekend for pictures!
